Kauai, HI — Symtech Fire is proud to announce the successful completion of a new containerized live fire training facility for the Kauai County Fire Department in Hawaii.

The project includes a purpose-built 1-story modular training structure featuring a custom Hallway Fire Behavior Simulator ST-6 designed to provide Kauai County firefighters with a durable and highly versatile live fire training environment. The facility incorporates an integrated Class “A” burn room within the fire behavior lab and supports a broad range of operational training objectives, including:
- Forcible Entry Training
- Fire Behavior Observation
- Flashover Prevention Techniques
- Thermal Imager Operations
- Hose Line Advancement
- Horizontal Ventilation
- Vertical Ventilation
- Hydraulic Ventilation
- Fire Suppression Operations
Designed to support realistic, repeatable training evolutions, the facility allows firefighters to train under controlled live fire conditions while developing critical fireground skills and operational coordination.

The fire behavior lab provides crews with valuable experience in reading smoke, understanding fire dynamics, coordinating ventilation, advancing hose lines, and performing fire suppression techniques in a realistic live fire training environment.
Symtech appreciates the opportunity to support Kauai County Fire Department with this important training initiative and looks forward to seeing the facility serve firefighters for years to come.
