Gas Meter Fire Simulator ST
The Gas Meter Fire Simulator ST provides essential live fire training using environmentally friendly propane (LPG). The main fire is generated using the Pilot Module ST (portable pilot igniter – sold separately).
The Gas Meter Fire mockup is constructed of heavy-gauge, durable steel simulating a typical exterior residential gas meter. The Gas Meter prop provides a first stage vapor fire and a second stage liquid fire. A simulated gas leak effect (using air) can be incorporated for an added challenge.
The mockup can be located in a single location, it can be moved around on-site using the included high quality steel casters, or the asset can be shared around a region using an optional transport trailer. A larger 500-gallon sized mockup is also available. All burners are constructed of corrosion-resistant stainless steel and all components are approved and designed for the environment.
The Gas Meter Fire Simulator is cost-effective and versatile. It delivers 4,500,000 to more than 60,000,000 btu/hr for each training fire with all fires initiated and controller from the integrated Wireless controller.
All Symtech Live Fire Simulators are fully compliant with NFPA 1402, Standard on Facilities for Fire Training and Associated Props.
The system includes an industry standard warranty and operation and maintenance (O&M) training.
Optional equipment includes a water-leak effect, portable power generator, SS upgrade, smoke generation system, sound generator, and a full line of self-sufficient transport trailers.

The Gas Meter Fire Simulator ST-PRO builds on the ST platform, providing advanced live fire training. Fires are fueled using environmentally friendly propane (LPG). Fully integrated, independently controlled burners along with an air control valve provides optimal control of each individual scenario, including:
- Main Gas Meter Fire
- Secondary Pipe Union Fire
- Gas (Air) Leak Effect
The Gas Meter Fire mockup consists of a bank of multiple gas heads and is constructed of 1/4″ thick (6mm) durable steel. It includes a lockout/tagout feature. The Gas Meter prop incorporates multiple fires, allowing instructors to change the point of origin. An integrated air-leak effect is included for added realism.
The mockup can be designed to be either fixed or portable with the addition of high quality steel casters, which also enables the asset can be shared around a region using an optional transport trailer. All burners are constructed of corrosion-resistant stainless steel and all components are approved and designed for the environment.
The ST-PRO model is set apart by its ability to create progressive fire scenarios, where fires spread and grow at the command of the ignition officer utilizing the included Wireless remote.
Like the ST model, the Fire Simulator ST-PRO provides two-stage vapor and liquid main fires. It delivers 4,500,000 to more than 60,000,000 btu/hr for each training scenario with all fire and flame height adjustments controlled from the integrated Wireless controller.
